Do You Believe it Takes Money to Earn Money?

I discovered a great tool in one of the Wealth Creation Network make money online workshop videos. It's a FREE headline analyzer tool available at the Advanced Marketing Institute website.  I used it to analyze and then improve one of the headlines for my WCN capture page.  The original headline looked like this:

"Just in Time for Christmas"

I thought it was pretty clever but I got a pretty embarrassing score of ZERO percent! The rationale for this dismal score is as follows:

This score indicates that your headline has a total of 0.00% Emotional Marketing Value (EMV) Words. To put that in perspective, the English language contains approximately 20% EMV words.  For comparison, most professional copywriters' headlines will have 30%-40% EMV Words in their headlines, while the most gifted copywriters will have 50%-75% EMV words in headlines.  While the overall EMV score for your headline is 0.00%, your headline also has the following predominant emotion classification: 

• Neutral

Your headline either has no words that invoke emotional impact with people, or the percentage of such words is so low as to be unlikely to make any emotional impact.  Headlines with little or no emotional words rarely do as well as headlines with stronger emotional content. You can attempt to shorten your headlines, or use different words and analyze the new headline.

Pretty harsh assessment, eh?  So I played around with it a bit and came up with the following:

"Easy Way to Make Money Just in Time for Christmas"   Your Headline's EMV Score is 30.00%.

"Let Me Show You a Fast, Easy, and Honest Way to Make Money Just in Time For the Holidays"   Your Headline's EMV Score is 38.89%.

"Let Me Show You a Fast, Easy, and Honest Way to Make Money On Line"   Your Headline's EMV Score is 46.67%

           

"Great Opportunity to Learn How to Earn an Honest Living on Line"   Your Headline's EMV Score is 58.33%.

"Do You Believe it Takes Money to Make Money?"  Your Headline's EMV Score is 66.67%.

Now we’re talking!  Here’s the analyzer’s assessment:

This score indicates that your headline has a total of 66.67% Emotional Marketing Value (EMV) Words. To put that in perspective, the English language contains approximately 20% EMV words.  For comparison, most professional copywriters' headlines will have 30%-40% EMV Words in their headlines, while the most gifted copywriters will have 50%-75% EMV words in headlines.  A perfect score would be 100%, but that is rare unless your headline is less than five words.  While the overall EMV score for your headline is 66.67%, your headline also has the following predominant emotion classification(s):

• Intellectual
• Spiritual

We've determined that your headline appeals equally to people's spiritual and intellectual spheres.  Words with Spiritual impact are best used with people and businesses desiring to make an appeal to some aspect of spirituality. This does not mean religion specifically, but any product or service that resonates with “spirituality” oriented markets is appropriate. The clergy, new age, health food and related markets all respond favorably to sales copy heavy with Spiritual impact content. Women and children also respond strongly to words in the Spiritual sphere. Marketing documents with strong Spiritual impact content can make for the most powerful presentations in the marketplace but must be used with considerable skill.

Intellectual impact words are best used to attune copy and sales messages aimed at people and businesses involved in the fields of education, law, medicine, research, politics, and similar fields. While not restricted to these groups, by giving presentations which are weighted with Intellectual impact words, your clients and customers will be more positively influenced and you are more likely to attain a more favorable response. 

I can keep playing around with this headline but I’m satisfied with these results.  So I’m going to change my ad's headline and see what happens.  While I'm at it I may as well run the ad copy through the analyzer as well.

How I Learned to Love Article Spinning

  I can be hard-headed sometimes.  An internet marketing wizard who I know and trust recommended an article spinning product to me several weeks ago.  I ignored his advice because I felt that there was no way on Earth some software was going to re-write my article into hundreds of unique content articles that could be automatically submitted to various article directories resulting in massive traffic to my website.  Then someone else mentioned article spinning to me and I ignored it, and then again, and again.  Finally I took a short peek at a video someone put together showing the article spinning process to me.  I started to pay attention and the wheels in my head started spinning and soon enough I broke out a pen and a pad of paper and wrote down the title of the most widely viewed article I’d ever written:

How to Write a Great Topic Sentence

I began to “spin” the title manually using the techniques that were described in the video.  I quickly came up with a decent number of unique variations right off the top of my head:

How to [Create, Develop, Produce] Write a [Fantastic, Amazing, Compelling, Good, Brilliant] Great [Opening, Main, First] Topic [Statement] Sentence

Further spins results in at least 18 different titles.  As I started to read the new titles I realized that each variation might be more appealing to different markets.  For example “How to Write a Great Topic Sentence” is very appealing to college freshmen who are learning how to write essays.  “How to Develop a Compelling Opening Statement” might be more appealing to 1st year law students.  “How to Create a Fantastic First Sentence” might appeal to article writers in general.

This simple manual technique can be applied to the body of the article as well.  Depending on the length of the article it might take forever.  But if it resulted in hundreds of unique articles it might be worth it, eh?  But what if the article spinning software being promoted in the video could actually spin the body of the article resulting in a multitude of unique and coherent articles as advertised.

So I went back to the video and paid close attention.  “I’ve gotta try this,” I thought to myself.  I signed up for the free version online and pretty soon I was knuckle deep in spinning my article.
